Our Response to COVID-19

In such challenging times, Coastwide Community Care continues to provide support to all our clients and families and continues business with lot more precautions, better health guidelines and utmost hygiene procedures to ensure we support the community by breaking the chain of Novel Corona Virus.

Our professional staff is fully trained with COVID-19 guidelines and certified as well by accomplishing the official training, Which helps us in understanding and sharing in-depth knowledge of precaution measurements and corona effects.

Family and Community Services

Our primary concern during this time is the health, safety and wellbeing of our clients, families and staff. We are taking all necessary precautions including closing our offices for face to face meetings.

Our team recognises the importance of service continuity and we have been on the front foot establishing alternative arrangements to keep in contact with clients remotely via the use of technology tailored to their individual circumstances.

In situations where face to face contact is essential, we have put in place procedures to identify potential risks and minimise opportunities for exposure. This includes asking questions about a client’s wellbeing and maintaining physical distancing as per recommendations from the State and National Departments of Health.

Please contact your Case Worker for more information. Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Enquiry Centre on (02) 4343 1700.

New Admissions

We continue to take new admissions and welcome new clients from all our neighbourhoods in the central coast area.  If you or your loved one needs In-home care, Palliative care, stroke care, Parkinson’s care or casual care, we are happy to answer any questions you have and provide all online consulting and material to make informed decisions as always.  You can contact our Customer Enquiry Centre on (02) 4353 1700.

Visitors

Families and friends are able to visit residents in our residential aged care communities from 15th May 2020.

Since March, Our Team had to make a difficult decision to restrict the visitors across our care centre office and clients’ in-home facilities for their wellbeing, health and safety. We believe this step has reduced the risk of exposure to the virus and can confirm that there are currently no cases of COVID-19 in any of our aged care communities. As the number of new COVID-19 cases has reduced, the discussion has emerged among government officials to lift the current restriction we may warmly welcome the decision with a great precaution and restricted manner to enhance the mental health of our clients and welcome the positivity.

In-home care services

Our In-home care services are still continuing as normal with measurements. Our team will ask you some questions to ensure you and our staff remain safe and well.

Please contact your Care Consultant for more information. Alternatively, you can contact our Customer Enquiry Centre on (02) 4353 1700
